Arlon Printers West Herts Saturday League
HEMEL Rovers had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Oxhey Jets in their Premier Division clash on Saturday.
The Rovers goal came courtesy of a cross from Jamal Babb on the left which drifted into the Oxhey net from 30 yards out.
Goals by Phil Hawkins and Martin Travers, meanwhile, were not quite enough for Tring Athletic A to earn a point as they went down 3-2 at Wellington Arms.
Kings Sports also lost by a one-goal margin, suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Martin Baker.
Elsewhere, Hemel Rovers Reserves lost out 6-2 to Oxhey Wanderers in a game which included five penalties.
Both teams netted two spot-kicks each, while Wanderers squandered one but still managed to ease to the victory. Rovers’ Mylie Cash (right) converted his two efforts.
Bovingdon also tasted defeat, suffering a 2-0 loss at home to Park Street in what was a disappointing weekend for the Dacorum sides.
Tring Athletic B were hammered 8-0 at home to Daleys FC, while Gadebridge FC lost 1-0 at Martin Baker Reserves.
Hemel Sharpshooters went down 1-0 at Oxhey Reserves, Hemel Rovers A were beaten by Oxhey Jets and Potten End lost 2-1 to Harpenden Rovers.
Mike Pettengell got on the scoresheet for Potten End.
