Kings maintained their unbeaten home record this season with an emphatic and ruthless performance against Cranfield.

Kings set about the visitors right from the start, with Katie Nield passing to Amy Earthrowl who struck with a delicate chip from 20 yards to open the scoring.

This spurred the home team on and, with Fiona Breeden and April Langton marshalling the side well, goals followed at regular intervals.

In the space of 12 first half minutes, Kim Nield struck a hat-trick, while Earthrowl hit a second.

Jade North had her shooting boots on – netting twice, from 25 and 35 yards – and Kings went in at half-time 9-2 up, after another Kim Nield goal and an own-goal.

After the re-start, Kings quickly extended their lead, with Mary Hogan setting up Kim Nield to nab another two goals and seal her double hat-trick.

Nield turned provider on 50 minutes to see Earthrowl grab her second hat-trick of the season.

Soon afterwards, Hogan’s surging run through the middle was capped off with a well taken goal past the despairing dive of the keeper.

With 15 minutes to go, Barrett nipped in behind the defence to finish off a move involving Hogan and Kim Nield, before Katie Nield set up Barrett to get her second.

Amy Earthrowl had the last say in the scoring stakes, netting her fourth of the game to seal the win.
