Berko manager Mick Vipond changed half his team from the side that suffered a record defeat at Hanwell last time out and the decision paid off as Berko batted to a deserved draw.

The reshaped team showed urgency and worked hard, creating early chances for Bekim Culaj and Myles Stephenson.

The game changed on the hour mark, however, when a harsh foul was awarded against Ben Butler and Ben Gill blasted the resulting free-kick over the wall and into the net for a 1-0 Hillingdon lead.

Gill went on to rattle the woodwork with another free-kick, before Frankie Jowle squandered the opportunity to equalise for Berko from the penalty spot at the Canal End.

The Comrades continued to press, though, and a defensive error allowed Josh Chamberlain to slot home a late leveller to salvage a point for his side.
