Three points for the impressive Kings

Southall 2
 Kings Langley 3

Kings Langley put in arguably their best performance of the season as they saw off Southall in a rain-soaked thriller.

Kings went 3-0 up through Joe Gallagher, Craig Lynskey and Gary Connolly, and two late Southall goals could not detract from a fine display from the visitors.

Langley had the chance to take an early lead when Jack Jonhson was brought down in the area, but Lynskey’s penalty was well saved.

Both teams had further chances as the first half progressed but it was Kings who went in with a half-time lead when Gallagher fired home in the 44th minute.

Southall responded strongly but Kings’ gamble of fielding a partially-fit Ross Hampton was justified with a superb save from the dangerous Joseph Aqua.

The keeper then produced a brave block from Tom Dawson, and it was soon 2-0 to Kings when Connolly fed Lynskey to round the keeper and slot home.

Playing with confidence, Kings continued to press and the away side made it 3-0 when Tom Carter was pulled back in the area, allowing Connolly to dispatch the resulting spot-kick.

Marius Tajas and Aqua pulled goals back for Southall late on, but Kings had already done enough to take the three points.
