TRING Athletic A finished their Arlon Printers West Herts League season on a high as they picked up a 5-2 win at Martin Baker Rovers.
James Bevan, James Livingstone, Joe Jary, Steve Wood and Dean Griffiths got the goals to ensure Tring made it a winning end to the campaign.
Hemel Rovers Reserves, meanwhile, caused an upset as they beat Maple Cross 6-2.
With Maple Cross already guaranteed promotion, Rovers expected a tough game – but that did not prove to be the case as Dave Flack (2), Dan Allen, Aaron Boyer and Ray Wood all hit the back of the net for Hemel.
Elsewhere, Gadebridge FC ended their first season in mid-table but finished with a 2-1 loss at Hunton Bridge.
In cup action, Potten End took on Sarratt A in the Holloway final, but they suffered a comprehensive defeat.
The first hour of the match was fairly evenly balanced, with Sarratt holding a narrow 1-0 advantage, but as the game entered its final stages, the Enders ran out of steam and were punished with three further goals.
One consolation for Potten End was a man of the match display from Paul Nolan.
