TRING Athletic’s pre-season friendlies are under way in preparation for the beginning of the new season.

Athletic will test themselves against four teams from higher divisions than themselves.

At the time The Gazette went to press, new boss Julian Robinson was preparing his side for a trip to Thame United.

Tring then take on Slough Town at home on Saturday, before entertaining Wealdstone a week later.

The side then make the short trip to Kings Langley on Tuesday, August 2, before visiting Leighton Town the following Saturday.

The club’s first competitive fixture will be a Herts Charity Cup game at home to Hemel Town on Monday.

They start their Spartan South Midlands League campaign on Saturday, August 13, and will appear in the FA Cup the following Saturday when they entertain Hanwell Town.

Meanwhile, Tring Athletic Ladies have commenced pre-season training and are on the lookout for new players and an assistant manager.
