A below-par Hemel Town side crashed out of the Herts Charity Shield as they went down 3-0 to Royston Town at Garden Walk on Wednesday evening.
There were plenty of changes for the Tudors on the night, but Royston booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition with a solid all-round performance.
Gary Hart put the Crows in front, and the home side wrapped up the win with further strikes from Scott Bridges and Robbie Nightingale.
They will go on to face the winners of the Hitchin Town v Cheshunt tie in the semis later this season.
Hemel, meanwhile, are straight back into action with a pre-season friendly against Hornchurch at Vauxhall Road tonight.
After this, the Tudors travel to Harrow Borough on Saturday, before the final friendly against Watford FC next Wednesday, again at Vauxhall Road.
The Conference South campaign kicks off on Saturday, August 9, with Hemel starting the season with an away fixture at Basingstoke.
