Kings Langley Ladies battled hard but ultimately ran out of steam as they went down 12-0 against a determined Watton side.

Kings fell behind after three minutes, and were unlucky not to score through efforts from Kim Nield, Mary Hogan and Amy Earthrowl.

Jade North did her best to thwart the Watton attack, but Watton exploited a tiring Kings to run in eight goals unanswered in the second half.

“The scoreline does not do them justice,” said Kings assistant manager Chris Walker. “They battled hard and gave everything they had, but our finishing and fitness were more than matched today.”

Kings have two matches left; on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm they are at High Street Green, Adeyfield taking on Leverstock Green Ladies Whites, while on Sunday they are away ay Crawley Green Ladies.
