The Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club ladies’ section delivered yet another unbeaten weekend, with the highlight being the ladies’ first team’s 6-1 thrashing of Hertford.
Goals came from Harriette Holderness and Ellie McDonald, along with braces from Mel Morton and Faye Potton. Kate Jenkinson was named player of the match for her strong defending.
However, the ladies 2s had most to celebrate with their promotion being confirmed with a 2-2 draw against Hertford. Goals went to Sarah Filby and Teri Payton, with Molly Jarvis named player of the match.
The side have now been promoted three years in succession, and they go into Saturday’s game against table-topping Stevenage with the chance of being crowned champions.
