The outdoor season is fast approaching and Berkhamsted Bowls Club is looking for new members of all ages.
The club will be holding an open day on Sunday from 10am to 2pm, and people of all abilities are invited to go along and give bowls a go.
There will also be sessions during May on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm, as well as on Friday evenings from 6pm until dusk.
All members of the public are welcome to visit the club, located at Canal Fields, to try out the game for free and meet the members.
The club is open to both men and women, and friendly matches with other clubs are played most weekends.
Berkhamsted Bowls Club’s Alan Parsons said: “These afternoons and evenings are held to help new members mix with existing members and improve their skills.
“If you are of a competitive nature we have some club members who, both as individuals and teams, have done well in recent seasons in district and county competitions.
“We also have a very good social programme during the closed season, so why not come and find out what it is all about.”
Anybody unable to attend the taster sessions is encouraged to contact the club’s membership secretary, Beryl Parsons, on 01442-871892 for more information on how to get involved with the club
