A trio of Berkhamsted Swimming Club starlets were on top form in the skins event at the Hemel Hempstead Swimming Club Birthday Open.
The skins races pits the top six male and female swimmers from the 50m freestyle against each other in five successive races. The slowest swimmer each time drops out until there are two left for the final race.
Harry Ormerod and JonLuke Summerfield were representing the boys and they placed fifth and sixth in their final.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old Charlotte Watson had swum a PB in her own heat of the 50m freestyle, going sub-30 seconds for only the second time.
In the skins she set a new PB in the first knock-out round and continued sub-30 for the next two races before finally succumbing in the fourth round to place third overall.
Watson also won every one of the 10 events she entered – seven in PB times – which gave her second place overall in the Best Girl competition of the meet.
From the 230 swims, Berkhamsted swimmers made 122 PBs, improved 38 of the club records and set 25 new county qualifying times.
Biggest cheers for the club came for Lottie Priestley and Zac Patel and their 200m butterfly swims, with Priestley completing the distance for the first time and then following it with a 100m butterfly PB. Patel improved a massive 28 seconds in his race.
Caitlyn Kelley was the busiest swimmer, competing in 11 events and managing nine PBs.
County times came from Jenny Atwill, Amelie Baker, Roisin Clarke, Abi Hurst, Emily Kiernan, Eli MacDonald, Ellen Northwood, Amy Pemberton, Charlotte Watson, Evie Watson, Louis Armitage, Jack Filer, Sam Gray, Tom Lyons, Ormerod, Patel, Toby Sands, Tom Strakosch, Summerfield and Tom Weston.
Further PBs were set by Owen Strakosch, Tom Stoker, Daniel Stace, Jessica Stace, Freddie Ormerod, Sam Newman, Cam MacDonald, Peter Lever, Kiran Gray, Alec Clarke, Niamh Clarke, Lara Gray, Emily Hannaby, Holly Hannaby, Maddie Kiernan, Eli Matthews, Jessica Page, Kathryn Page and Amy Stoker.
Elsewhere, competing in Barnet, Christian Nel and Hamish MacCaig set 200m PBs in their first two swims each to cap a fantastic weekend for the Berkhamsted swimmers.
