Grasshoppers 24 Hemel Camelot 40
The Camelot first team returned to winning ways at mid-table side Grasshoppers on Saturday.
Grasshoppers took a three-point lead with a penalty, but this galvanised Hemel into a quick response and they spun the ball wide for Adonis Marmaras to score the first try of the match.
Hemel continued to try and impose themselves on the game and stretched the opposition from one side of the pitch to the other, creating space for Carl Buckingham to score in the corner for a 10-3 lead.
Both teams exchanged territory but it was Grasshoppers who struck back to level the scores.
A lapse in discipline in the scrum then saw Hemel reduced to 14 men with 10 minutes of the half remaining, and Grasshoppers made their numerical advantage count to go take a 17-10 lead.
Despite being down to 14 men, Hemel took the game back to Grasshoppers and a superb break from Willoughby set up Buckingham to score his second try.
Camelot now had their tails up and drove Grasshoppers back into their 22, leading to a try from Charlie Richards which gave the visitors a 20-17 lead shortly before half-time.
Hemel started the second half well and Woodard extended their advantage to six points with a penalty.
Despite losing centre Ryan Doyle to a bang on the head, Hemel carried with their free-flowing style and replacement Conner Flannery made a terrific break to send Willoughby in for a well-worked try.
Woodard struck again from a penalty soon afterwards, before Marmaras went over again for a converted try to put the result beyond doubt.
Elsewhere, the second team also won, beating Cuffley a 86-0, while the thirds beat Black Horse 40-0.
