Little Hay battle strong winds to get the better of Panshanger

Little Hay members had to cope with strong winds in all of their competitions this week, but that didn’t prevent the men’s A team from beat Panshanger at home by 205 points to 192.

Division One of the Senior Men’s May Medal was won by Frank Klimaszewski with an excellent nett 67. Fred Evans was second with 73 and Phil Joslin took third with 74.

In Division Two, Paul Thompson was first with nett 73, ahead of runner-up Geoff Selley (nett 76 on count-back) and third-placed Andy Sergides.

The men played for the Secretary’s Cup on Sunday, with Dale Chiverton emerging victorious with an outstanding 41 points. In second place was Paul Mudd, while Chirs Morris came third.

Junior player George Rocca who was not eligible for the competition but scored 39 points.
