The Tring U7s Lions collected the first silverware of the season for TringRugby as they triumphed at the Amersham & Chiltern A Festival.

The strong Lions team featured Adam Yule, Albert Eames, Jack Suddick, Harry Woodus, Harley Cook and Will Rouse, who gelled together to form a formidable unit.

The boys opened the tournament strongly with a 50-15 win over Aylesbury, before Saracens offered a stern test – Tring nosing ahead at the final whistle 45-40.

The Lions finished the day unbeaten after outscoring Beaconsfield 45-15, beating their hosts Amersham & Chiltern 45-35 and finally overcoming Windsor 40-30 in a hard-fought victory.

The U7s Tigers team, meanwhile, also put in a top performance as they lost only one game to take the runners-up position in the competitive B Festival.

This week, the Lions will be looking to continue their winning form when they take part in the competitive Bishop Stortford Tournament.
