Hemel Hempstead-based company NGK Spark Plugs have renewed their sponsorship deal with Hemel Stags after a successful 2013 partnership.
Tim Ward, the deputy general manager of sales and marketing at NGK Spark Plugs Ltd, said: “We are delighted to once again sponsor the Hemel Stags during their second season in Rugby League Championship 1.
“Rugby League has traditionally been a northern-based sport, but Hemel Hempstead is increasingly becoming a Rugby League town and Stags is a very ambitious club that does a lot of good work in the local community and fields a wide selection of teams of all ages.
“As a local company we always strive to support organisations that work for the benefit of the local community and we are looking forward to building on our relationship with the Stags over the coming season.
Tom Hamlyn Williams, Hemel Stags sales and marketing director added: “Our partnership is truly one of the most innovative deals we have arranged with a sponsor.
“The details of the deal really do illustrate our ability at Hemel Stags to think outside the box to provide a creative sponsorship deal that delivers for a company of this size.
“NGK are really committed to our local community and this sponsorship deal goes even further to illustrate that.
“It is wonderful to have such supportive businesses based in Hemel Hempstead who see the value of sports sponsorship in delivering their objectives.’
This year’s deal will see NGK take the back of the Stags shirt and they will continue to feature on advertising around the Stags’ first team pitch.
