TRING Ladies’ First XI picked up a crushing victory over Luton, despite having gone 1-0 down.

Tring responded to take a 2-1 half-time lead, and goals from Jenny Wrench, Holly Glover and Zoe Skells wrapped up a fine 5-1 win.

The Ladies’ Thirds, however, suffered a 6-1 loss to table-topping Bedford.

After Bedford took a 2-0 lead, Ella Whitehead halved Tring’s deficit, but the league-leaders added four further goals to seal the win.

It was better news for the Ladies’ Fourth XI who crushed Hertford 12-0.

Tracey Hockley opened the scoring for Tring as they cruised to victory.

The Men’s Seconds also won well, overcoming Henley 3-1 thanks to goals from Tom Burrows, Russ Arthurs and Matt Hyde.

Tring Men’s Third XI, meanwhile, struck two late goals to secure a 5-5 draw at South Bucks.

Greg Walton was the hero for Tring as he netted four times to rescue the match for his side. Ben Holman was also on target.

Elsewhere, the Men’s Fourths beat Phoenix 2-1 thanks to goals from Dudley Moor-Radford and Dan Thompson, while the Men’s Vets thrashed St Albans 6-0.

Steve Collins scored five and Tom Elliott also netted.
