Seven swimmers from Tring Swimming Club attended the Luton Last Chance National Qualifier Meet – a Level 1 long course meet that attracts some of the top swimmers from around the country.
Head coach, Justin Langford said: “It is great to see our swimmers test themselves at this level and everyone put in a strong performance.”
The team achieved nine personal bests with notable swims from Cole James and Greg Baxter.
Cole produced a fantastic 200m IM, improving his personal best by five seconds, while Greg just missed the national qualifying time for the 50m freestyle.
Personal bests were also achieved by Molly Bradley, Robert Jennings, Brianna Mazey and Clem Waterhouse.
Langford added: “Everyone has gained valuable experience in racing long course. It is a totally different event for our swimmers as they train in a 25m pool.”
The club continues to run free trials for 7 to 11-year-olds. Email Justin at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
