Take a trip back to Roman Britain this weekend at the Chiltern Open Air Museum.
But the Chalfont St Peter heritage centre won’t just be looking at the Romans – visitors can learn about the natives as well.
The museum’s Iron Age roundhouse, based on archaeological evidence from the Chilterns, has just been restored and director Sue Shave said: “It will be great for visitors to explore it during the event, when it will be brought to life by costumed interpreters.”
Displays will run throughout each day, with an arms and armour demonstration, a fashion show and a Romans versus Britons combat clash. Visit www.coam.org.uk for more or call 01494 871117.
