A talented young performer who is juggling the start of her A-level studies with a developing music career will be on the bill at next week’s Greene Note session at Berkhamsted’s King’s Arms.

Headlining the Thursday, October 3, gig is Australian Bela Takes Chase, whose distinctive voice, haunting tunes, and memorable lyrics have made waves around the acoustic circuit in London.

She’ll be supported by Chilli, better known to classmates at Berkhamsted School as Charlotte McCallum.

She’s put the summer break after her GCSEs to good use by recording tracks for a debut EP, which will be released next month.

She made a big impression when she appeared at a Greene Note session earlier in the year, and now management companies and record labels have her in their sights.

Catch her before she’s whisked away to bigger things - the gig starts at 8.30pm, tickets are £7 in advance from the pub or £8 on the door, subject to availability. You can also buy online at
