‘60s sensation to perform hits and surprises

THE Manfreds with original Manfred Mann front man Paul Jones, will perform many of their hits along with a mix of Jazz and Blues songs from some of their best-known albums at the Elgiva in Chesham next week.

At the forefront of the ‘60s pop revolution, with million-selling records alongside bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, Paul Jones left Manfred Mann in 1966 to turn to acting, first in films and television, and then on stage. He currently hosts a weekly music programme on BBC Radio 2.

Paul, with his unique harmonica sound, will be joined next week by Mike Hugg on keyboards, Tom McGuinness on lead guitar, Rob Townsend on drums, Marcus Cliffe on bass guitar and Simon Currie on saxophone / flute.

Join them for an evening of entertainment with a few surprise renditions of their work, not only with The Manfreds, but with their individual connections.

The Manfreds are at the Elgiva, Chesham on Wednesday, June 1, 8pm.
