IF you’re a country music fan don’t miss the award-winning Solid Gold Country Legends when it stops off in Chesham at the end of the month.

The show which celebrates its tenth birthday this year and which won best event at the British Country Music Awards in 2010 features a perfect mix of old and new country hits.

Enjoy the classics of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Tammy Wynette as well as some of the rising stars of today like Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Lady Antebellum.

Songs will include Billie Jo Spears’ Blanket On The Ground, Johnny Cash’s Ring Of Fire, Dolly Parton’s Jolene, and Kenny Rogers’ Lucille, among many others.

Vocals are led by country stars Jeanne Jordan and B J Thomas.

Jeanne has been singing professionally since the tender age of 13.

She was introduced to country music by the Bee Gees’ Gibb brothers, and as well as her Legends show she’s also appearing as Dolly Parton in the hit musical Dolly, The Show.

BJ joined his first professional country band at the age of 16 and has had many hit records over the years.

Joining them on this hand-clapping, foot-stomping journey is the brilliant Outlaw Country Band, featuring drummer, Steve ‘Warby’ Warburton and up-and-coming young guitarist and vocalist Luke Thomas.

Solid Gold Country Legends play at the Elgiva in Chesham on Saturday, April 30, 8pm.
