An evening of music and storytelling in which Bach meets the Brothers Grimm may sound a bit severe to some – but the Chroma Ensemble promises a warm welcome.
The team’s next Berkhamsted concert on Sunday, December 8, will serve up a magical evening of music, storytelling and song featuring the voice of rising bass baritone Joseph Padfield, who is combining his continuing studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music And Drama with performances in modern and classic roles up and down the country, and Chroma stalwart cellist Clare O’Connell
There will be music from Schubert, Helgi Ingvarsson and Wagner on the programme together with poems from Goethe and Eichendorff and stories from the Brothers Grimm told by Trevor Allan Davies.
Tickets for the 7pm concert at The Greene Room in the Kings Arms on Berkhamsted High Street are £15 (£10 concessions , under 18s free subject to availability) – you can reserve yours by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Clare on 01442 862953.
You can also now buy tickets at the Luminous & Vogue boutique in Lower Kings Road.
