AN exciting new adventure especially for families and young children, comes to Hemel’s Old Town Hall Theatre next Saturday.

One day a boy finds a plane in his cupboard. He doesn’t remember leaving it there, but he decides to take it out right away.

He flies the plane higher and higher until he runs out of petrol and lands on the moon.

He’s frightened, lost and, until a passing martian lands there too, all on his own.

Who is the strange alien? Can they be friends?

This intergalactic tale is from the award-winning author of How to Catch a Star and Lost and Found, Oliver Jeffers.

It’s a co-production with Theatre Royal Winchester and has been created by the team behind the hit shows Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and The Night Before Christmas, with original music produced by the composers of The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom.

Big Wooden Horse theatre company and Theatre Royal Winchester present The Way Back Home on Saturday, February 12, 2.30pm.
