There’s a cow, there’s a handful of beans, and soon enough there’s a giant – can you tell what it is yet?
The panto season is just around the corner and this year’s choice at the Boxmoor Playhouse is the familiar tale of Jack And The Beanstalk.
All the ingredients of traditional panto fun will be present and correct but the creative Hemel Hempstead Theatre Company will be serving up topical touches and a modern twist, too.
Featuring spectacular scenery, stunning costumes, hilarious slapstick and bags of audience participation, the show aims to be a treat for all the family.
The curtain will go up next Friday, December 6, at 7.30pm and then shows have been timed with families firmly in mind.
On Saturday, December 7, there are performances at 11am and 4pm, Sunday will feature a 2.30pm matinee and then the following Thursday and Friday, December 12 and 13, there are 7.30pm evening performances before 1.30pm and 6pm shows on the Saturday and a final 2.30pm performance on the Sunday.
Tickets start at £10 for adults and £8 for children, and group deals are available – visit www.boxmoorplayhouse.co.uk for full details and to reserve your seats, or call 0844 8700887 to find out more.
