Sisters in the spotlight

There are still a few nights left in the run of Oscar-nominated writer Ronald Harwood’s Equally Divided at Watford’s Palace Theatre.

The piece, written at about the same time as Quartet which was recently adapted into a hit film, is a family feud drama which pits sisters against each other.

Edith likes to think she is a good person. She was a dutiful daughter to her demanding mother while selfish younger sister Renata got all the attention – and all the husbands.

Now their mother has died, and the handsome, widowed family solicitor is on his way with news of the will. Perhaps Edith can be happy at last but something tells her that Renata – glamorous, impossible, Renata – will always come out on top.

Equally Divided runs until Sunday. For tickets call the box office 01923 225671 or visit
