Youngsters with a yen for the stage have the chance to get involved with an award-winning summer school’s musical production thanks to open auditions next month.
Potential performers aged 10 to 19 can show that they can do when Empire Theatre Arts hosts a casting call session in advance of a project to stage romantic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast at Harpenden Public Halls.
The intensive two week summer school will involve singing, dancing and acting skills and culminate in three public performances at the end of the course.
Last year’s Empire production of West Side Story at the same venue was a complete sellout, and organisers are planning an even bigger show this time round.
The auditions are planned for Sunday, July 7, and everyone enrolled on the course is guaranteed to be in the show.
